On day fifteen, Brian completed all the necessary framing tasks and removed nails, ensuring the job site was clean and organized. With this crucial step finished, we could move forward with the next stages of the renovation.
Masonry Work
While Brian was busy with the framing, our skilled brick mason was also hard at work. His tasks included:
- Walling in the Old Garage Door: Transforming the space where the garage door used to be into a seamless part of the exterior wall.
- Adjusting the Back Door in the Primary Bedroom: Raising the door due to the floor being elevated to match the rest of the house.
- Bricking in the Kitchen: Completing the masonry work for a small hole left by an old, unnecessary wall unit AC.
The brick mason did a fantastic job, and even though the included picture doesn't do it justice (the mortar was still wet), the quality of his work is clear.
What's Next?
With the framing and masonry tasks completed, we are now ready to move on to several exciting projects:
- Painting: Selecting colors and beginning the painting process.
- Installing the Door: Getting the new door in place.
- Rolling with More Projects: With the foundational work done, we can dive into many more aspects of the renovation.
We are thrilled with the progress and can't wait to share more updates as we continue transforming this home!
