To me, the fun part of the project is starting to ramp up! We're beginning to choose paint colors for the house, finishes, fixtures, etc. I feel like very soon, Brian's work will be more focused on managing the trades coming into the home. Once the insulation and drywall are done, I KNOW he’s going to be SO HAPPY to finally turn on the AC.
Our first big decision was what color to paint the house. Overwhelmingly, we chose a white color. I used Sherwin Williams Visualizer tool to help complete a rough mock-up of the paint color options we were considering. You simply upload a picture of your space and choose the color. The first option was a dark moody deep charcoal grey, and the second was a creamy white. The white color in the simulator looked more grey than white, likely because the visualizer tool showed the transparency of the brick.

In the end, we decided on a creamy white (not a stark white) with black accents and bronze/gold-ish finishes outside. Check out the Visualizer tool if you’re curious: Sherwin Williams Visualizer Tool. Here is a little inspo picture of antoher house that I have in mind. I might just knock on the door and ask them the exact color they used!
