From Home Renovation to a Golf Course Clubhouse: Our First Commercial Project

After wrapping up our renovation at 1422 Alpine Drive and sucessfully selling the home, a close friend of ours extended an exciting opportunity—to team up as he worked toward reopening a golf course in Evans, Georgia. As someone who grew up playing golf, we were especially honored to be a part of the project, and we both felt the pull to dive into something bigger than anything we’d tackled before.

The scope of work for the first phase was ambitious but incredibly rewarding. Brian was brought on to complete and oversee several construction updates to the clubhouse, while I was asked to lead the interior design of the space and take on branding and marketing for the course as a whole.

Phase one of the renovation included transforming multiple key areas: a new pro shop sales area, a flexible open space, the early stages of a catering kitchen (which will eventually become a full commercial kitchen), private offices, a bar, and two private golf simulator bays.

Brian’s role included a mix of hands-on work and project management. He tackled demo, fencing, siding installation, custom bar cabinet creation, new window placement, electrical upgrades, flooring, painting, and more. Because of the commercial nature of the project, several elements were subbed out—but Brian managed and oversaw every step, ensuring quality and cohesion throughout.

With The Masters serving as our hard deadline, Brian completed his side of the project in just 60 days. The transformation of the clubhouse in that short time is nothing short of incredible. Walking through the finished space now, it’s hard to believe it’s the same building we first stepped into.

This project marked a huge milestone for us—it was our first commercial renovation and proof that what started as a dream in a family home could grow into something much larger. We can’t wait to share what’s next.
